Mission & History

The mission of the Watertown Area Right to Life Organization is to educate and inform the public about the value and dignity of every human life, born and  unborn.

In 1973, the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case, Roe v. Wade, was issued denying unborn children protection under the U.S. Consitution.  That same year, a small group of local volunteers started Watertown Area Right to Life to stand against what they saw as a moral wrong.  Since then, science has confirmed what those local volunteers believed...an unborn child is a human being.  Some of the founding members remain active within the organization to this day.
